CFA Institute offers a needs-based scholarship opportunity for those unable to afford the full price of the CFA Program enrollment and registration fees.
The Access Scholarship covers the one-time CFA Program enrolment fee (if applicable) and reduces the exam registration fee to US$250, including the CFA Program eBook. Please note that Scholarship Candidates are responsible for any additional costs related to selecting/purchasing the hardcopy curriculum, such as shipping charges or duty fees.
Scholarship Candidates may be either new or existing candidates in the CFA Program. There is no minimum or maximum income or asset level for Scholarship Candidates.
Candidates are ineligible if their current employer provides any financial assistance for participation in the CFA Program.
Candidates can only receive one Access Scholarship per calendar year. Further, a Candidate may only receive one scholarship per exam, so if a candidate applies for both an Access and an Awareness Scholarship, and receives an award, the remaining application will be void.
Scholarship Candidates must submit the application form on the CFA Institute website in its entirety prior to the application deadline (15 September).
If you have not created an account on the CFA Institute website, you may do so via the following link.
Once you have created an account and are logged in, you can start your application process here.
Upon completing your Access Scholarship application, please send your CV in English to email@example.com. As mentioned previously, incomplete applications will not be considered.
Please note that all CFA Program registration fees are non-refundable. If any candidates who have applied for the Access Scholarship register for the CFA Exam while their application is pending, they will have demonstrated their ability to pay for the CFA examination, and their application for an Access Scholarship will be voided.
If awarded, you can apply the scholarship to either exam in the relevant calendar year. You must register and sit for the exam in the relevant exam year or you may be ineligible for future Access Scholarships.
Credit for unsuccessful candidates
Unsuccessful candidates will be provided a credit of US$150 towards the examination fee to capture the early-bird/cheaper pricing.
We strongly encourage candidates to visit the CFA Institute Scholarships website and familiarise themselves with the official rules and eligibility requirements. Failure to comply with the official Scholarship rules may result in ineligibility to receive future Scholarships.
